Briar Patch Cocktail

The American Cocktail: Created by Jeffery Morgenthaler and inspired from the Bramble. The Marion is a type of blackberry found in Portland. It’s supposed to have a few raspberry notes to it. Refreshing summer drink.

Two cocktail recipe:
1 ounce simple syrup (Equal parts turbinado sugar and water heated to dissolved an then cooled)
2 tsp Marionberry jam (use blackberry and raspberry if you can find it)
4 ounces of Gin (Bombay)
1 lemon juiced

Put everything in a shaker, stir first to break up the jam, add ice and shake 40 times. Pour into another glass with ice and top with blackberries
